We are capturing key themes of the Kauffman Fellows’ exclusive two-year venture capital training program and making them available online to a broader audience.
Our faculty include leading venture capital investors, experts from academia and government, experienced entrepreneurs, and other thought leaders in entrepreneurship and innovation.
Meet the Team
Miriam is the CEO of the Kauffman Fellows Academy and a Kauffman Fellow in venture capital. She is the co-founder of Ulu Ventures and is also the co-founder and co-president of Stanford Angels & Entrepreneurs. Miriam served on the board of trustees at Stanford University and as Deputy General Counsel and Vice President at Google, where she helped grow the company from $85 million in revenue to over $10 billion. She has taught in the Stanford Technology Ventures Program in the School of Engineering on start-up board issues and as a mentor in entrepreneurship at the Stanford GSB. As a first generation college student and scholarship recipient, Miriam graduated from Stanford University where she earned the AB, AM, and JD/MBA degrees.
Rusty Dornin is Vice President of Operation and Production for the Kauffman Fellows Academy. A long time broadcast journalist, Rusty was an Emmy award winning CNN correspondent for nearly 18 years and a television and radio reporter for nearly three decades. Recently she used those storytelling skills to produce videos and curriculum for KFA’s online classes. She is responsible for program operations, communications and global strategy. An active angel investor, Rusty has also helped to launch a number of startups.
