Lucanus Polagnoli

Lucanus holds a Master's degree in International Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration ("WU") as well as a Master of International Management from Bocconi University in Milan (CEMS).

In his free time, you'll find him spending time with his wife and three children in Vienna (Austria), the most livable city in the world. He enjoys racing sailing boats at Lake Attersee (his home turf) in the beautiful "Sound Of Music Land"

Lucanus is Europe’s most active early-stage healthtech investor. Investing in digital health solutions for over a decade, his new firm, Calm/Storm, invested in two out of the Top 5 fastest growing HealthTech companies in Europe: Nelly & Lindus. As a former financial consultant and private equity fund manager, he switched sides to become an early-stage startup operator before he became a partner of Speedinvest in 2014. After leading the health team there, Lucanus founded Calm/Storm in early 2020, which became one of the most prominent vertical-focused venture capital firms in Europe. Lucanus has a passion for digital solutions that improve our health and well-being.
