Aakash Kapoor

I did not plan to be in venture capital. For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be an entrepreneur. I started a company right out of college. Through a series of events over 6 years, I then landed up at Sequoia Southeast Asia – now Peak XV. When asked if you'd be a founder again, I always tell people, “I am a founder. I’m just in the business of investing.”

Aakash is an investor with PeakXV Partners (formerly Sequoia India-SEA) based in Singapore. Aakash invests in early-stage companies from seed to Series B stage, particularly focused on fintech, payments and consumer internet sectors, in SEA and ANZ. At PeakXV, Aakash is also a founder member of Surge, a global early stage program.
