Professional

Amy has just launched a new healthcare venture fund, Convey Capital, with cofounder Sam Brasch. Amy and Sam led the Kaiser Permanente Ventures program for the last five years. Convey Capital focuses on the digital transformation of healthcare. The fund model is a combination of deeply engaged strategic partners and financial investors to fund primarily Series A and B companies looking to transform traditional sectors in healthcare with the application of connectivity, cloud, compute and AI/ML. The updated strategic model enables value creation for both portfolio companies and strategic stakeholders who are seeing the planes of competition shift.

Prior to her time at Kaiser Permanente Ventures, Amy was the Chief Business Officer at Evidation Health, a joint-venture between GE Ventures and Stanford University launched in 2015. Evidation Health is focused on generating real-world clinical and economic evidence for digital health products and platforms. The firm combines health outcomes data with new approaches to predictive analytics to identify and deploy the most effective and efficient patient management strategies and interventions. Before Evidation Amy was a lead investor at Covidien Ventures, focusing on venture investments in medical technology.

In 2010, Amy also founded MedtechWomen, an organization highlighting women leaders in medical technology; the organization hosts an annual conference, Medtech Vision, and local and virtual events throughout the year.

Amy served her Kauffman Fellowship at Advanced Technology Ventures, where she spent 4 years as in firm's healthcare practice, focused on the medical device sector. Before her venture career, Amy worked in global marketing at Guidant where she led their first Drug Eluting Stent launch internationally. She also launched and managed the profitability of angioplasty and radiation therapy products in the US, Europe and Asia. Amy has also worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb on the marketing of a variety of cardiovascular, HIV, and neuroscience products.

As a consultant for CSC (formerly APM), Amy worked with healthcare providers and insurers on strategic, clinical, and operations projects. Over her years of consulting, Amy's projects addressed each aspect of performance optimization including clinical resource management, guideline development, vendor negotiations, operations reengineering, staffing, and strategic program development.
