Andrew Vranjes
Andrew has a bachelor's degree from Edith Cowan University in Australia, majoring in Communications and Information Technology. He has held a variety of board positions at several startups, and has a Non-Executive Director role promoting technology education at the Storage Network Industry Association.
His professional experience has focused on technology, startups, investing, and leadership. Andrew has been investing in technology startups for 9 years, with 45 investments and 8 exits over this period. Andrew is currently Head of Startup Ecosystem for Amazon Web Services, based out of Singapore. In this role, he works with entrepreneurs across Southeast Asia to help grow their businesses.
Andrew has previously held leadership roles at Cisco Systems and Singtel/Optus. He fell into investing in technology companies while based in Australia, starting with helping a friend accelerate growth at his company and leading to the eventual sale of his software business.
Alongside two business partners, Andrew also runs a small investment holdings entity focused on technology startups.
As a member of Class 23, Andrew is serving his fellowship at Amazon Web Services. His mentor is Claire England (Class 21), Partner and Lead Investor for the FemTech Fund at Portfolia Venture Funds.
