Education

Antonio has an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he focused on entrepreneurship and venture capital. He was selected as an MIT Legatum Fellow and was the President of the Mexican MIT Student Association. He holds a bachelor's degree with dual majors in economics and law from ITAM University. He is passionate about sports, travel, grassroots politics, and the arts in general.

Antonio Osio is a partner at ANIMO Ventures, a $60 million seed fund with offices in New York, SF and Miami. The firm is hyper-focused in leading or co-leading seed rounds across the U.S. ANIMO is a generalist technology investor looking to back phenomenal entrepreneurs across verticals with investments ranging from $500,000 to $2 million. Previously, Antonio spent 5 years as a managing partner at Capital Invent, a Mexico-based early-stage venture capital firm focused on the consumer Internet space. Prior to that, he spent two years as an investor at FJLabs, focusing on marketplace investments. Before, he worked as a summer associate at the venture division of the Legatum Group based in Dubai, a senior analyst at Sabino Capital, a Mexico-based hedge fund and a legal intern in Hogan Lovells BSTL, a Mexican law firm.

A member of Class 20, Antonio served his fellowship at Capital Invent under the mentorship of his partner Heberto Taracena, a renowned and experienced Mexican tech entrepreneur.
