Ashwin Shashindranath

Ashwin attended Missouri Institute of Science and Technology, where he received a bachelors degree, with Honors, in electrical engineering. Outside of work, Ashwin spends most of his time with his wife and four children exploring various cultures around the world.

Ashwin Shashindranath is a Partner at Energy Impact Partners, where he looks for and works with entrepreneurs who are genuinely excited about being agents of change in the climate tech landscape. Ashwin brings a unique combination of 15 years of investment experience and hands-on entrepreneurial experience at startups.

Prior to joining EIP, Mr. Ashwin was a Managing Director in Macquarie Capital’s Green Investment group leading venture capital and growth equity investments in energy and mobility transition. Prior to Macquarie, Ashwin was a Managing Director at Evergy Ventures, venture capital arm of Evergy Inc (Investor-owned regulated electric utility) leading over a dozen successful investments in companies focused around Digital Transformation, Energy Storage, and Distributed Energy Resources.

Ashwin is serving his fellowship at Energy Impact Partners as a member of Class 24 under the Mentorship of Pradeep Tagare (Class 10) of National Grid and Scott Ford (Class 11) of OpenAir Equity Partners.
