Bame graduated with an MBA from Harvard Business School and with bachelor's degrees in economics and politics from Pomona College.

Professional

Bame Pule is the Founder and CEO of Africa Lighthouse Capital, a private equity firm making growth equity and other investments across Africa. In addition, Bame is a founder of, and angel investor in a number of early stage African companies in technology and other sectors. Bame has a passion for developing an ecosystem that enables the interdependent success of African investors investing in African ventures that are managed by African founders and addressing Africa's most pressing opportunities and challenges. 

Bame began his investment career as a college student, working at Citigroup in California and then at Credit Suisse in New York. After college, Bame's first full time job was as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs in New York where he focused on mergers and acquisitions; equity capital raisings; and debt capital raisings in the financial services sector. Later, Bame joined ShoreView Capital, a private equity firm focusing on growth equity and other investments across sectors in the United States and globally. Most recently, Bame worked at the emerging markets private equity firm Actis, where he focused on private equity investments across Africa and across sectors.
