Education

Brian graduated from Stanford University with a BA in International Economics, and served on the Finance Committee of the San Francisco Education Fund, as well as the Leadership Council of Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO Scholars). Brian is Class of 2021 at Harvard Business School.

He is the proud older brother of Mack (wide-receiver for the Miami Dolphins) and Drew (Marine and current student at Columbia University). He is originally from Washington, D.C. and loves to travel, golf and scuba dive!

Professional

Brian is Managing Partner of Collide Capital and the Founder & CEO of the Takeoff Institute, an organization helping Black undergraduate students build the resources and mentorship they need to launch a successful young professional career. He is a Founding Board Member of BLCKVC, a non-profit that focuses on building paths into venture capital for aspiring black investors. He is also the founder of The Road Untraveled, a podcast that dives into real-time topics and trends across the tech and VC community.

Brian spent six years at Goldman Sachs across three divisions including investment management, investment banking, and merchant banking. He helped launch the Emerging Entrepreneurs Coverage group, an initiative to bring Goldman into the venture capital community by extending resources to early stage startups. The group was responsible for sourcing the Plaid investment for Goldman, one of the most successful venture investments in the firm's history. He also spent two years as a growth equity investor focused on enterprise SaaS and the productivity software suite, working with companies like Automation Anywhere, RingDNA and Tastemade.

Fellowship

As a member of Class 26, Brian is serving his fellowship at Collide Capital under the mentorship of Chris Lyons (Kauffman Fellows Class 19).
