Chang Xu
Chang holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and AB in Applied Math and a secondary field in Computer Science from Harvard College.
Chang Xu is a Partner at Basis Set Ventures, a $140M seed fund investing in AI and automation, where she primarily focuses on infrastructure, developer tools and ML ops. She previously was a Principal at Upfront Ventures, the oldest and largest SoCal-based early stage venture capital firm with $2B AUM.
Prior to joining Upfront, Chang was a founder and an operator. She was the first Product Manager at the Minerva Project. She co-founded and was the COO of Onion Math, an ed-tech startup in China that has raised $90M to-date. She started her career at BCG where she advised clients across technology, retail, healthcare and private equity.
Chang is a member of Class 23, serving her fellowship at Upfront Ventures and now Basis Set Ventures under the mentorship of Bilal Zuberi.
