Elana Lian

Elana holds an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management with an emphasis on entrepreneurship, finance, and marketing. She earned a BS in engineering science from the University of Toronto, and an MS in electrical engineering from Tufts University.

Elana is an Investment Director at Intel Capital working in the Internet of Things (IoT) sector. She has made and/or supported investments in K4 Connect, Airware, Tier3 (acquired by CenturyLink), and Aldebaran (acquired by Softbank), among others. Previously, Elana partnered with a number of executive teams, boards, and founders as a member of Intel's corporate development organization, focused on private and public company M&A and partnerships.

Elana has had 10 years of operational experience in the US and China across different high tech industries, including IoT, software, cloud computing, semiconductors, and cleantech. Immersed in different functional areas, she has developed expertise in product development, project management, strategy, business development, and customer facing; these experiences allow her to understand and solve a wide variety of organizational challenges.

As a member of Class 22, Elana served her fellowship at Intel Capital under the mentorship of Managing Director, Mark Lydon.
