Ishan Sinha
Ishan graduated from Yale University with a BA in economics. He serves as a mentor as a part of Endeavor's Mentor Capital initiative, giving one-on-one support to international entrepreneurs.
Through Ishan's experiences at Point72, he discovered his passion for helping develop young investors. This fall, Ishan will be teaching a for-credit course at Yale University on venture investing in emerging markets.
Outside of venture, Ishan enjoys spending time with his fiancée, playing with his dog Ringo, biking through the city, and playing guitar. If he wasn't a venture capitalist, he would definitely be a guitarist in a heavy metal band.
Ishan is a founding member of Point72 Ventures, the venture capital arm of Point72 Asset Management. His role is to evaluate and execute investments with a focus on emerging and international markets particularly in the financial services and consumer internet sectors. Geographically, he has invested in early stage startups across the U.S., Europe, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. Ishan is proud to be an early investor in businesses like Ualá, Spotify, Mirror, Nav, Credijusto, Sprout Solutions, and Tonik.
Ishan joined Point72 Ventures after working in long/short equity investing at Point72, covering public companies in the technology and financial services sectors. Before joining Point72, Ishan was an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs.
As a member of Class 25, Ishan is serving his fellowship at Point72 under the mentorship of Dirk van Quaquebeke.
