Jervis, a CFA Charterholder, is the first to be awarded this designation in the financial sector in Ghana. He received his International MBA from the Nyenrode Business Universiteit of the Netherlands with a focus on general management and finance. Jervis also holds an honors degree in pharmacy from the University of Science and Technology in Ghana and is a member of their Pharmaceutical Society.

Professional

Jervis is the Senior Vice President of Databank Financial Services Group in Ghana, and is the General Manager of the Funds under Databank Private Equity Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary. The Funds, targeting entrepreneurs and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), consist of the Women's Flagship Fund, Entrepreneur's Empowerment Fund and the Databank Universities Entrepreneurial Fund. Jervis is also the lead consultant and advisor for a World Bank- and InfoDev-sponsored incubator program where young entrepreneurs are nurtured. 

Prior to this position, Jervis was a vice president in the Corporate Finance Department of Databank where he spearheaded several high-profile investment banking activities as well as corporate advisory services, including the first ECOWAS cross-border listing on the Ghana Stock Exchange of a Gambian bank. 

Before his financial career, Jervis worked for a decade in the pharmaceutical industry, first with the country's regulatory Agency for Food and Drugs and later as a pharmaceutical and medical representative for Alcon International of the USA. Jervis was able to grow Alcon's business ten-fold in five years from its humble beginnings by instituting an innovative distribution network across the country. His responsibilities expanded to include oversight of training for all Alcon representatives for Anglophone West Africa.

Fellowship

Jervis completed his fellowship as a member of Class 10 under mentor Ken Nana Yaw Ofori-Atta at Databank Private Equity located in Ghana, and has the distinction of being the first Kauffman Fellow from the African continent.
