Joe Dormani

Joe holds an MBA from Fordham Gabelli School of Business, where he focused on Finance and Management, and a BS in Political Science and Economics from Siena College

Joe is a partner at Thomson Reuters Ventures where he leads a team of global investment professional. In his role, Joe invests in AI/Machine Learning Infra/Apps, Enterprise Software, and Vertical SaaS. He has led investments in Datagrail, Spellbook, Materia, Fieldguide, Detected, Neo.Tax, Truewind, CentML, Wisedocs and more.

Joe has held a variety of strategy, finance, and product roles over his 15-year career. He has led M&A deals valued in the hundreds of millions, driven strategy for multi-billion-dollar organizations, and helped scale high growth software products.  Previously, he led corporate strategy for Thomson Reuters Legal Tech business.  Joe is also active in the New York tech scene where he works with several incubators and early-stage startups as an advisor.  He started his career at a data-tech startup where he discovered his passion for the world of venture capital.
