Joon Sung Park
Joon majored in Business Administration at Yonsei University in Korea and studied at University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School as an exchange student during his sophomore year. He earned his MBA from Keio University Graduate School of Business in Japan.
Joon serves as Schwarzman Scholars program Industry Mentor and as advisor for TAEJAE foundation.
He enjoys swimming, golf, and traveling. As a native Korean, he is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and English and lives in Seoul with his wife Elina and three kids.
JOON joined Legend Capital in 2005 as Associate, and was later promoted to Vice President, Director, Executive Director and Managing Director. He is now Co-CIO of the firm and leads cross-border investments in Korea, Japan and Southeast Asia.
Joon famously led an US$6M investment in HYBE (KOSPI:352820) formerly called BigHit Entertainment, the management agency of K-pop sensation BTS boy group in early 2016, which became a US$10 Billion market cap company.
His investment in AnyColor (Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime market: 5032) was selected as #1 Venture Capital investment return in the Japanese stock exchange market in 2022 by Nikkei, a leading financial newspaper in Japan.
