Laura Tadvalkar
Laura attended Yale University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry, cum laude. She then completed a PhD in chemical biology at Harvard University, where she received a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. Her doctoral research focused on mitochondrial physiology, disease biology, and cancer metabolism.
Laura is a Principal at RA Capital Management, a multi-stage biotech investment fund in Boston. Laura focuses on company creation and early-stage investment in compelling biomedical ventures, and is a Director or Observer on a number of RA portfolio company boards.
Previously, Laura was a Principal at MP Healthcare Venture Management, the strategic venture capital fund of Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma, where she was a Board Observer for QurAlis, Ribometrix, and Sonde Health, as well as the interim Director of BD for Ribometrix. Before MPH, Laura was a Manager at Clarion Healthcare, a boutique life sciences consulting firm based in Boston.
Laura is a member of Class 23, and completed her fellowship at MP Healthcare Venture Management in Boston, with mentors MPH President Jeffrey Moore (Class 10) and MPH Director Naoya Sato.
