Laura Yao

Laura was born in China and moved at a young age to Tallahassee, Florida. She graduated from Yale with a BA in economics and mathematics, and went on to get her MBA from Stanford. She enjoys hiking, camping, going to shows, Saturdays in Dolores Park, and reading, both fiction and nonfiction.

Laura was a global macro investor at Bridgewater and an operator at a climate tech startup before she became a partner at EQT Ventures investing in cloud infrastructure and B2B software. She's starting a fund called Odyssey Ventures that invests in early-growth-stage climate and infrastructure companies.

Laura is serving her fellowship at EQT Ventures as a member of Class 24 under the mentorship of Partner Alastair Mitchell.
