Lomax Ward

Lomax graduated from the University of Cambridge with a degree in Classics. He subsequently graduated from law school in London. Then he gave up law and started life proper as an investor and venture capitalist.

Lomax has lived in Botswana, France, London, Milan and Tokyo. He now lives in Lisbon with his family.

Lomax is General Partner at Outsized Ventures, a European focussed deep tech fund. Prior to that, he co-founded Luminous Ventures, investing at the intersection of deep tech and health. He is also an active angel investor and LP.

Before his venture career, Lomax was investment principal and general counsel at White Cloud Capital, where he focussed on growth equity investments in healthcare services in European and Asia. Lomax started his career as a corporate lawyer at Slaughter and May in London, also working in Milan and Tokyo.

Lomax co-founded ALLOCATE, an event and active community geared around helping the venture ecosystem for emerging venture managers in Europe.
