Lucas also holds a BS from Purdue in computer science and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

After two years in San Francisco learning the complex etiquette of Napa Valley wine tastings, Lucas has returned to New York. He is an instructor in Capoeira, a Brazilian martial art, and also enjoys Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes. In his free time he likes travel, discovering great food, and programming small side projects.

Lucas is a founding Partner at Lytical Ventures focusing on early stage companies in the enterprise intelligence space: cybersecurity, data analytics, and AI. He brings over a decade of investment, operational and entrepreneurial experience to his role.

Lucas co-authored The Art of Software Security Testing and chaired DefCon – the largest hacking convention in the US – for 10 years. He has been a member of the NY tech community since 1999. He is also an adjunct professor at NYU teaching the class “Entrepreneurship for Hackers”, and is a Kauffman Fellow.
