Luke Erickson
Luke is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, with a Bachelor of Science in Human and Organizational Development. He is Texas-born, now living in Fairview Park, Oakland, by way of Nashville and Washington, DC. On Saturdays, you can find Luke walking his (very large) mastiff puppy in the Berkeley Hills.
Luke leads the data practice on Forerunner's investment team, bringing a quantitative approach to underwriting product market fit, predicting unit economics at scale, and identifying internal workflows ripe for automation.
Luke’s perspective is informed by his career in marketing & growth strategy, where he has consulted or personally managed growth strategy for over 60 enterprise and consumer businesses, spanning seed-stage to Fortune 500 companies. He uses the perspective gained through operating to advise on consumer investments with a focus on underwriting & informing growth & data strategy.
Previously, Luke was a Partner at Tribe Capital, a Vice President at CapitalG (the growth equity investment arm of Alphabet), and a Product Manager at Social Capital, where he worked on the automated investment service, Capital-as-a-Service.
A member of Class 24, Luke is served his fellowship at CapitalG. His mentor is Mamoon Hamid (Class 11, Kauffman Fellows board member), Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB).
