Marcello Goncalves

Marcello completed his undergraduate education in Economics at Candido Mendes University in Rio and has done several executive education programs such as Leading the Global Corporation at University of South Carolina and 500 Startups VC Unlocked at Stanford. In addition to his native Portuguese, Marcello is fluent in English and Spanish.

A soccer fan, Marcello has served pro-bono as a Marketing VP to Fluminense FC (one of the main professional soccer clubs in Brasil). Marcello is also an avid golfer, cyclist and beach tennis player.

Marcello is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Domo Invest, a Brazilian asset management company focused on venture capital funds.

Domo currently has 4 funds divided on 3 early-stage theses: Domo Ventures 1 and 2 (focusing on B2C and B2B2C startups), Domo Fundo Anjo (co-investment fund for startups in the angel stage) and Domo Enterprise (focusing on B2B startups). Marcello was the Founder and Partner of Koolen & Partners, and led investments in unicorns Loggi, Gympass and Hotmart among other startups.

He developed a career in the financial markets, after serving the CEO of insurance companies Assurant and Travel Ace in Brazil. Marcello's background also includes being Partner at Banco CR2 and a Managing Partner at Banco Fator.

As a member of Class 26, Marcello is serving his fellowship at Domo Invest under the mentorship of Eduardo Gouveia and Roberto Medeiros.
