Education

Myrto holds an MBA from INSEAD, France. She earned her BsC in economics at City, University of London and continued with an MsC in finance from Imperial College, London. She is fluent in Greek, English, and French, and has business Spanish and basic skills in Greek Sign Language. In 2016, Myrto was recognized as Leader of the Year by Linkage Greece in appreciation of her extraordinary leadership quality and contribution to the progress of business and society.

Professional

Myrto co-founded Metavallon VC, an early-stage fund investing in technology companies in Greece and Europe. Metavallon focuses on pre-seed and seed investments, with a B2B preference across sectors. 

Myrto started her career in London, working as a credit risk analyst for Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and later as a Fixed Income Strategist for EMEA at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Returning to Greece in 2007, she held several positions in technology and high-tech companies as a founder, mentor, investor, and advisory board member. Before transitioning to Metavallon VC, she served as Group CFO and Head of Corporate Development in EFA Ventures, a group active in high-tech verticals around aerospace and defense, including electro optics, night vision, and MEMS. 

Myrto has also been active in the nonprofit sector, consulting on microfinance and women's development projects in Kenya and Nicaragua. In 2012, she co-founded Volunteer4Greece (now Ethelon), the first platform connecting volunteers to nonprofits. In 2013, she successfully fundraised for the launch of Action Finance Initiative, the first microfinance organization in Greece.
