Nancy Torres
Nancy is a proud first-generation Colombian-American, hailing from Prince George’s County, Maryland. Nancy obtained her MBA from Harvard Business School, MPP from Harvard Kennedy School, and BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While at Harvard, Nancy explored her passion for deploying capital and technology in the service of social equity, working for diversity-focused VC Harlem Capital, New York City’s largest poverty-fighting organization The Robin Hood Foundation, and San José’s Mayor’s Office of Technology and Innovation. Nancy served as a Zuckerman and George Fellow at Harvard’s Center for Public Leadership. She is also a TOIGO and MLT alumna.
Nancy Torres is a Partner at Ulu Ventures, a leading seed stage venture firm in Silicon Valley, investing in diverse teams creating industry-leading market opportunities. Prior to joining Ulu Ventures, Nancy worked in Technology Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs, advising fintech, enterprise software, and consumer internet companies on strategic financial transactions. She started her career working across data analytics, business development, and venture design roles at Google, Uber, and IDEO. Nancy is a Co-Founder and Board Director for the Latinx MBA Association, a 1,000+ member 501c3 organization dedicated to advancing Latinx business leadership.
