Education

Rodrigo Borges graduated with a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (POLI - USP). During his time at POLI, he served as a research fellow at the Architecture and Computer Networks Laboratory, which is part of the Department of Computer Engineering and Digital Systems.

Outside of academia, Rodrigo enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and watching movies. In his free time, he frequents the gym and delves into topics such as entrepreneurship, technology, innovation, and history. Rodrigo also serves as a mentor for entrepreneurs through Endeavor.

Professional

Rodrigo Borges is a co-founding partner of DOMO.VC, an early-stage VC firm based in São Paulo, Brazil, since 2016. DOMO.VC manages four funds and has invested in over 100 startups within its portfolio. Within DOMO, Rodrigo's primary focus lies on the investment process, deal flow, and technological infrastructure. Additionally, he provides support to more than 30 portfolio companies across two seed funds.

In 2014, Rodrigo joined Koolen & Partners as a Partner, a proprietary fund boasting three unicorns: Loggi, Gympass, and Hotmart.

Prior to his role at Koolen & Partners, Rodrigo co-founded Buscapé in 1998 with three university friends. Over the course of 16 years, he worked across various areas including tech, product development, business development, and M&A. Buscapé evolved from a comparison shopping search engine in Brazil to a comprehensive ecommerce platform serving Latin America, offering solutions such as payment services, free classifieds, and an affiliate network. The company was acquired by Naspers in September 2009.
