Ryan Sanders

Ryan received a B.S. in Finance and Spanish from Brigham Young University and a M.B.A. from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business.

Ryan is a Managing Director at Mercato Partners Traverse and participates on the Investment Committee. He currently serves as the board member at Lambda, Atomic, Lendio, ObservePoint, and Stance. He held prior Board and Board Observer positions with several portfolio companies including Galileo Financial Technologies, Central Logic, SaltStack, and CloudElements. He oversees all investment team processes at Mercato Partners including sourcing, striking, and harvest. His operating experience spans technology and consumer businesses. Ryan adds public and private company operating experience, growth equity investment, and risk and credit management experience to the Traverse investment practice.

Prior to Traverse, Ryan was a Principal at Escalate Capital, a Texas based mezzanine investment firm similarly targeting growth-stage companies in underserved geographies. Prior to joining Escalate, Ryan was a Business Operations Manager at Comcast (NASDAQ: CMCSA) helping to roll out next-gen IP architecture and systems. Previously Ryan was a Founder in multiple technology businesses, including venture-backed Calixus Networks which was acquired by the Media News Group under the parent company Digital First Media.

As a member of Class 26, Ryan is serving his fellowship at Mercato Partners Traverse under the mentorship of Laureen Costa (JPMorgan), Bryce Roberts (OATV) and Jay Brown (Marcy Ventures)
