Saad Siddiqui
Saad migrated to the US at the age of 14 for his education. While working multiple jobs to finance his schooling, he earned a BS in finance from Rutgers University. He is a a recipient of the the President's Volunteer Service Award (awarded by President Obama), the RBS Alumni Leadership Recognition Award, and the Alumni of the Year award. Saad was a co-founder and served on the Young Leadership Board of New York Needs You, a former member of the Board of Engineers of Blue Engine, and served on the board of the Pakistan Rehabilitation of the Disabled Foundation.
Saad is one of the founding members of the recently spun-out Telstra Ventures, a $565M global venture capital firm. He focuses on enterprise technology investments, particularly focusing on AI, data Infrastructure, next- generation SaaS, and cybersecurity. Saad has led investments in Trifacta, Subspace, Incorta, NS1, Ripcord, Cofense and Boomtown, and is involved with the investment in Asapp. In previous roles as a corporate development executive, he has executed M&A transactions valued at over $7B in aggregate. Prior to Telstra Ventures, Saad was in corporate development at Informatica and was a member of Cisco's venture investing and acquisitions team, covering cloud, big data, and virtualization. Before moving to the Bay Area, he worked in mergers & acquisitions at RBC Capital Markets and was Assistant Vice President in strategy at Merrill Lynch's Global Wealth Management division.
Saad is serving his fellowship at Telstra Ventures as a member of Class 24; his mentor is Arif Janmohamed, Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners.
