Shirley holds a BA Economics from Harvard University and an MBA from NYU Stern. She is an active member of the Harvard Alumni Association and regularly interviews undergraduate applicants, particularly candidates that are women of color or from underrepresented minority groups.

Shirley has spoken at events by Founders + Funders, Republix by SheWorx, mBolden, and Harvard Women in Tech. Wife to 1, mother of 3, and supporter of Skateistan (skateistan.org) and Choose Love (chooselove.org).

Shirley Schoenfeld is currently Head of Strategy and Chief of Staff at Swimm (swimm.io).

Investor and operator with 15+ years of experience building, advising, and investing in early stage technology companies, mainly in Israel and to a lesser extent in Europe and the US. She is an angel investor in various early stage companies including Cart.com, Joy, Venus Aerospace, XPay, Inkbox, Moonshot Brands, and an LP in 776. In 2019, she co-founded Seneca VC LLC, which has invested in Strattic, , The Coven, Elpha and Archipelo.

Before founding Seneca, she was an investor at 83North (Greylock Israel), responsible for sourcing, diligencing and supporting investments in enterprise software, fintech and applied AI. From 2013-2017 she was the CEO of Nooyalla, a technology advisory firm focused on product and GTM strategy. Prior to that, she was the Structured Finance Head of Growth at Standard & Poor’s where she led the launch of new enterprise data and regulatory tech products. Ms. Schoenfeld started her career at Morgan Stanley, as VP Enterprise Infrastructure where she supported strategic and operational initiatives such as core banking projects, desktop virtualization, and the post-GFC joint venture between the wealth management businesses of Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley.
