Trish Costello
Trish is the co-founder, first CEO and CEO Emeritus of the Kauffman Fellows Program, beginning with its founding in 1993 at the Kauffman Foundation. She was the first President of the Kauffman Fellows Fund of Funds Holding Corp. Trish was on the start-up team of the Kauffman Foundation’s Center for Entrepreneurship. She is the founder and General Partner of Portfolia, ventures funds designed for sophisticated women limited partners. Trish created the first venture capital funds focused on women’s health and Portfolia is the most active investor in the sector with 54 investments. Its 14 funds invest from seed to pre-IPO, in women’s health, longevity, sustainability, and companies that over-index for people of color, with over 2,000 limited partners throughout the US and globally. Notable investments among its 110+ portfolio companies, include Maven Clinic, Everly Health, Madison Reed, Canela Media and GrubMarket. Trish advises various non-profits and governmental entities, serving on the National Science Foundation SBIR AdCom, The Motley Fool Foundation, The SBA Advisory Board, Springboard Enterprises, and the NVCA Education Committee. Trish lives in Tiburon, CA.
