Warda Shaheen

Warda holds a BESc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Western University and an HBA in Business Administration the Richard Ivey School of Business. She also holds an MSc in Financial Economics from the University of Oxford.

Warda Shaheen is a Director at OMERS Growth Equity leading their software vertical. OMERS Growth Equity is the growth arm of OMERS ($100B Canadian pension fund) launched in 2019. Warda has led investments in Coveo, TouchBistro, PandaDoc, Gitlab, Clio, Phenom People and assisted with the Dialpad investment. She is also a Board Observer for Coveo, and TouchBistro.

Previously, Warda worked in public markets at CPP Investments where she ran a $500M public markets portfolio in their thematic investing team. She also worked at Point72 Asset Management, Bain & Company and Deutsche Bank. Warda has experience working in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Singapore, Hong Kong and Germany. Warda believes that investing should be borderless, global and asset class- agnostic.

Warda is a member of Kauffman Fellows Class 26 and is serving her fellowship at OMERS Growth Equity under mentor Jenny Lee, Managing Partner at GGV Capital.
