Wes Panek

Wes previously worked as a VC at New Media Ventures, and as a strategy consultant for private, public, and nonprofit organizations at Monitor Deloitte Consulting and The Global Development Incubator. He comes from a family of Maori immigrants and loves basketball and jazz music.

Wes Panek is the first hire at Screendoor Partners, a fund of funds started by GPs from Homebrew, Forerunner, Precursor Ventures and others that backs underrepresented, emerging fund managers in venture capital. Wes focuses on sourcing, diligence, portfolio support, and operators and has a strong belief in the returns potential and social benefit of backing new fund managers that haven't had access to supporting capital and networks.
